Celebrated on 14th July every year, Bastille Day is the French National Holiday which commemorates the 1790 Fête de la Fédération, which was held on the first day of the storming of the Bastille on 14th July 1789. This anniversary was recognized as a symbol of the uprising of the modern nation as also the reconciliation of the French who were inside the constitutional monarchy which came before the French Republic.
