Articles on Pop Art

Pop art is an art movement that is characterized by techniques and themes that are taken from sources such as comic books, advertising and mundane cultural objects. This form of visual art began in Britain in the mid 1950's and in the United States in the late 1950's. This form of art basically aims to emphasize the banal elements of a culture, and this is done most often with the use of irony.
