Marie Sklodowska Curie, born on November 7, 1867, was a physicist and chemist who discovered the radium and polonium elements. Marie, also known as Manya, was instrumental in pioneering the radioactivity theory along with her husband Pierre. During her lifetime, Marie won two Nobel Prizes, one for Physics in 1903 and the second one for Chemistry in 1911.
